“Coe’s writing is both detailed and emotionally engaging, transporting readers into the heart of the action. The depiction of Carmen’s struggle, juxtaposed with the inner workings of the FBI, offers a comprehensive look into the multifaceted nature of crime and justice. Coe’s commitment to detail is evident throughout the novel. While the storyline is compelling, the narrative takes moments to delve deeply into procedural aspects, adding a layer of authenticity and depth to the world in the novel.

“One thing I truly enjoyed about Survive the Day is its portrayal of character relationships, particularly the dynamic between agents Butnari and Hill. Coe crafts their interactions with a level of depth and complexity that adds a rich layer to the narrative. For example, their efforts during the intense rescue operation in Las Vegas highlight their professional competence and subtly reveal their mutual respect and underlying trust. This partnership, underpinned by their individual strengths and vulnerabilities, adds a compelling human element to the story, making the characters more relatable and the plot more impactful.

Survive the Day is a recommended read for fans of crime thrillers and readers interested in the nuances of law enforcement. Its realistic portrayal of human trafficking significantly contributes to the genre, and its compelling characters ensure an engaging experience. This book is particularly suited for readers who appreciate a blend of action, emotional depth, and a glimpse into the workings of the FBI.”

“With Survive the Day, Coe has not only written a gripping crime thriller, but he has also thoroughly developed the characters and the relationships they build during the course of the story. Readers get the best of both worlds, with riveting twists and turns that will keep them guessing until the last page is turned. In addition to the intriguing plot, the character development and the relationships between the characters are second to none. We meet supporting characters in the first chapter of the story that comes full circle and surface again at the end, bringing their journeys to an extremely satisfying conclusion. The main characters are so real and raw and experience such internal conflicts as they struggle with their own personal morals and ethics, often questioning what is right and wrong as they toil to catch the bad guys.

The level of suspense and action in Survive the Day will keep readers on the edge of their seats, cheering Hill and Butnari along as they consistently face danger throughout the story. The tale is cleverly written and complex, with a plot that moves quickly and will thoroughly entertain its readers. The issue of human trafficking that Coe explores is one that is, unfortunately, present in our society today, and he depicts it accurately and ethically.

Quill says: With Survive the Day, Coe has crafted an action-packed, thrilling crime story, complete with unexpected twists and turns, that will keep readers engrossed from the beginning until the last page has been read.”

“Through an ever-surprising series of plot twists and reversals, Coe portrays his protagonists as just what the book’s title suggests: survivors. In fact, survival drives the narrative on both sides of the equation as each of the main and supporting characters struggles daily to survive. It is an eminently human and exceedingly worthy approach to storytelling. Hill and Butnari are tough, resourceful, oftentimes lucky, and sometimes impulsive and foolhardy as they relentlessly pursue their mission. Fate alternately supports and impedes their efforts, as Fate is wont to do, and the whole delightfully chaotic maelstrom winds down into a hugely satisfying conclusion where good triumphs and evil is punished. In Survive the Day, E.A. Coe has crafted a winning thriller, sure to delight readers and build a loyal fan base. Survive the Day is keenly imaginative and highly entertaining.”

“Author E. A. Coe has crafted a crime thriller with a gripping narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The dynamic between Special Agents Butnari and Hill is particularly electric, and I loved the way that they challenged one another to be better, sharper, and braver as the plot intensified around them. I also really enjoyed the dialogue, not just for the central pair but for the whole ensemble cast, as it seemed to echo the overall atmosphere, tension, and grit of the novel as a whole. Coe’s attention to detail offers a criminally good mystery with plenty of clues for readers to pick up on as each chapter unveils new layers of deception and danger. As the tension mounts and the stakes escalate, readers are drawn deeper into the high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse between law enforcement and organized crime that was paced well for a great payoff at the novel’s startling conclusion. Overall, Survive the Day is a must-read for fans of action-packed thrillers, offering a heart-pounding journey through the dark underbelly of crime and corruption.”

“Lovers of fast-paced crime thrillers blended with adventure, action, and so much more will love E. A. Coe’s Survive the Day. Featuring a fascinating and dynamic cast, Coe weaves an intriguing plot. The suspense and ingenious plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat. Coe pays great attention to detail, but just enough so as not to bog down the pace of the plot. The evocative depictions of the scenes bring the story to life on the pages. Coe depicts the cast’s intricate emotions well, juxtaposing their complex traits. I was sucked in by the cast’s personal conflicts where the lines between morals, work ethics, love, right, and wrong are blurred with secrets, greed, passion, vengeance, and fear. This is the type of story that will have your heart pounding as your favorite character is confronted with danger. You will be holding your breath as you wait for them to make it out alive.”

Survive the Day by E.A. Coe is a page-turner that hooked me from the first one until the last. With all the twists and turns, I never knew what would happen next, and I was kept guessing until the end. The descriptions of the locations and events were vivid, and the well-developed characters made it easy to visualize the action. My favorite part of the story was how the FBI agents’ web of suspicion was woven into the story; I had the impression that I was standing directly next to each of them as every new character was scrutinized. When Carmen was brought up again, I was taken aback, and learning about her subsequent story was very beneficial to me. The story serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges encountered by law enforcement in battling human trafficking. This book is written exceptionally well.”

“In Survive the Day, E.A. Coe takes us inside the murky world of human trafficking. The plot is simple to follow because Coe lets the reader understand straight away that the good guys and the agents of darkness are engaged in a conflict based on intelligence as much as strength. Excellent character development is evident in the origin story of each main character, which connects them to a particular aspect of this risky industry. There is a sub-theme of accepting other people’s eccentricities in the conversations between Marina, Tatiana, Hill, and Henri as they discuss the subtleties of their different relationships. I enjoyed the author’s writing skill in Survive the Day; one aspect that readers will be able to relate to is that the antagonists are more technologically and workforce-prepared than our heroes. Action genre fans will find this novel immersive and focused on crime and its investigation in a way that stimulates the reader’s imagination.”
