Evolved Publishing Celebrates Literature at the Iowa City Book Festival
What pops into your head when you hear “Iowa City?” Farms? Corn? Tractors?
How about the only UNESCO City of Literature in the US (and one of only a dozen worldwide)? Or the Iowa Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa, one of the top MFA programs in the country?
To writers, Iowa City is synonymous with reading and a love of good books. It has a rich history of supporting quality writers, from program graduates like Flannery O’Connor and John Irving, to faculty like Kurt Vonnegut and Raymond Carver. And every fall, Iowa City hosts a celebration of quality writing with its Iowa City Book Festival: four days of readings, discussions, lectures, and workshops.
This year, Evolved is proud to announce we’ll have a booth at the festival’s book fair, at the downtown pedestrian mall on Saturday, October 3rd.
Writers E.D. Martin and Timothy C. Ward will be on hand to discuss their books and their writing process, as well as sell print copies of various EP authors’ works. They’ll also have several fun items to give away!
If you’re in the area, please stop by and help EP share our love of quality books!
