AUTHOR: Scott Shinberg has served in leadership positions across the US Government and industry for over twenty-five years. He has worked in and with the US Air Force, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and most "Three-Letter Agencies." While in government service, he served as an Air Force Intelligence Operations Officer and a Special Agent with the FBI. He lives in Virginia with his wife and sons.

EDITOR: Growing up I was the kid who would get into trouble for reading in class. My family was the one at the restaurant with noses buried in books. It was only natural that I would seek some way to make books a part of my career path. I read anything except for traditional westerns, and have a soft spot for historical fiction and YA. I tend to gravitate towards genre fiction (particularly science fiction, fantasy, horror, action/adventure and all of the implied subgenres) and am a huge fan of comics and graphic novels. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm probably playing video games with my friends online.

Started off a little slow, but got my attention as it went on. Definitely a different perspective, but more realistic than others. I enjoyed it so much, I bought the next 3 books and now I'm hooked. Can't wait to read the 5th installment.

This was my first espionage novel and I found it completely fascinating. It gave me a lot to think about in terms of what goes on behind the scenes. I think it is quite amazing that a male author could write so convincingly about a female protagonist. Michelle's soul searching as she completed each assignment helps to give her character depth. The other principal characters were also well developed. This was a very enjoyable novel and I will certainly read the next one.

My husband thought I’d love this book, but I didn’t. It’s about the thoughts and feelings of a female assassin. I didn’t think the reminiscings matched the character of a person in that job at all. It was well-written, but to me it was a guy (the writer) trying to describe the feelings and emotions of a woman based on stereotypes. I just felt like it really missed the mark. I’m guessing he was trying to appeal to emotional women to sell more books, which in itself is annoying. I could barely finish it. Eden may turn out to be a female Mitch Rapp in future books, but I’ll never find out.

This was an excellent read!! Enough detail to keep you engrossed but not too much. You really got into Michelle's thoughts and got to know her! Loved the dry sense of humor. I couldn't put it down! Highly recommend for anyone who likes Spy novels! I can't wait for the next one to come out!
