Isu Yin grew up with a love for books. She was a quiet child with a big imagination, so the progression into storyteller was inevitable. Yin has worn many hats outside of her life as an author, but no occupation or project enchanted her more than the Grims' Truth series. Yin has received various praise and scholarships for art and literature throughout the years and these led her away from her base passion. However, after she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018, Yin returned to her roots and dedicated her time to the world of Euphoria, developing the art, history, religion, and geography of the Grims’ Truth series. Now, surrounded by her ever-helpful fur babies and with co-author Fae Yang, the series project is completely planned out and moving forward with enthusiasm.

Fae Yang is the co-author of the Epic Fantasy book series, Grims' Truth. They began writing at an early age and later mentored under the CEO of Evolved Publishing until signing with the company in 2018. Aside from writing, they are also pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering and spend their free time playing video games, reading, and/or drawing. They also have a deep interest in Linguistics, which became a strong basis for writing the Language of Ages for Grims' Truth.

If you are someone who likes to be spoon fed like a toddler Stop! These books are not for you. Read on only if you are not threatened by the fact that you do not know all of the answers. You may have a good gut instinct...when you know what someone wants before they ask or when you sense that things are not what they seem to be. But then doesn't that give rise to more questions or provide a different way of looking at things? Who is good/evil? Can someone who appears bad have good intentions? Who tells the truth and who lies and more importantly, why? What is the real significance of the color red? I loved Book 2, I was soooo curious about Akira and there he was!! As Book 2 answered some of my questions (which I totally enjoyed) I seemed to have new questions popping into my head.
Like a mix of game of Thrones/Lord of the Rings/Star Trek/Dragon Tattoo/Hunger Games/Clan of the Cave Bear...Book 1 and Book 2 provide interesting puzzles for the mind weaving a spider's web with lots of threads/ideas that you can chose to follow or not. The maps/variety of locations, language/definitions, clans/breeds/races etc.
You can actually see what the characters look like (if you're curious) just go look/check it out on their website. Some may say the authors are world building but now I'm thinking Universe?
There are repeated phrases and themes in the books that I thought might be redundant. Not remembering the past, needing to remember/wake up? In Book 2 the realistic writing helped me hear the ticking clock. see the cracking glass and that shape shifting cat... I do love how the books feel to the touch and the covers are lovely to look at, but I needed to start supper so I put the book down. One last glance at the beautiful cover....but maybe the cover is not what it seems or is it more than it seems? I looked closer at Book 2, then at Book 1.(supper can wait) now I'm thinking that possibly a diversion, part of the web that is being spun......by the authors. Are they writing about the characters in the book or are they telling the readers to "remember what they have already read or to wake up". You can answer that question for yourself.
Me, I am waiting for Book 3. This is just the beginning. Hope I get to see this at the Theatre at some time or better still binge watch the series on TV. It's clear to me that this is just the beginning.
